Blank Nursery: Where to Start?

I wanted to take a moment to post some pictures of Baby C's nursery.  Now, mind you, most of these pictures were taken during construction; so, in many of them, there is no white trim and no doors (also white).  However, our condo is extremely modern and minimalistic; so, yes, there are concrete floors (don't worry, they've got radiant, in-floor heating) and exposed duct work (we like it that way! :).

So, when looking at the photos, just remember: there will be trim, there will not be floor coverings (except for rugs) or ceiling tiles!

Here we go!

View looking in to Baby C's yellow nursery from the hall.
View from "Jack and Jill" bathroom looking into nursery, closet on right.

Another view from hall, looking in.  "Jack and Jill" bathroom door at twelve o'clock.

Corner of the room...you can see the white trim now.

Now you can kind of see the exposed ceiling!
So, yeah...a big blank slate!  Well, a blank yellow slate, anyway.  We decided on yellow and gray for the color scheme merely because we thought it was gender neutral and would be easily played up by pink or turquoise (our chosen accent colors if Baby C is a girl or boy, respectively).

What do you think?  Any ideas?  I have TONS, but the trick is going to be reeling myself in!  If I put in every, single idea, this room is going to look at hot mess!  Ugh!  Also, it's a little strange; because the room isn't huge; which isn't a big deal, but it's cut up by the closet, entrance door and door to the Jack and Jill bathroom Baby C will share with Mr. C's office.  Lots of dilemmas!

I'd love to hear how you created your nursery and if you have any ideas for Baby C's!  Just drop me a line on here...can't wait to hear what you have to suggest!

Blessings,
*mandie*
